Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro Mountain Kenya African summit

Here is the proposal for the Fall: the climb of Kilimanjaro with its 5,895 meters is the highest mountain of the African continent. The Marangu route, by far the most famous and beautiful climbing route, is suitable for mountaineers normally trained or hikers looking for new perspectives.

Mount Kenya

Mount Kenya Africa

And here's the alternative for next Fall or Winter: the climb of Mount Kenya. It is not the highest mountain on the African continent, only the second, but surely it is the most beautiful. Unlike Kilimanjaro which is an immense volcano in the middle of African savannah, Mount Kenya is a true mountain range with a dozen peaks that exceed 4,000 m.

Climbing in Thailand

Climbing in Thailand at Krabi Phi Phi Island

Thailand and in particular the Krabi Province are the ideal destination for climbing enthusiasts looking for an alternative to habitual cliffs, combining climbing, sea, nature and relaxation, a perfect cocktail for an unforgettable journey. The "Climbing in Thailand" program allows you to stay right in the heart of Phra Nang Peninsula where you can walk to the many cliffs. There is also the possibility to stay a few days on Phi Phi Island where the movie "The Beach" was shot and where there are some beautiful climbing routes.

South-West USA

A climbing tour in the US Moab Utah

This was my first trip to the USA and I would recommend it to those who want to combine a holiday to discover the national parks with climbing in the most beautiful American Southwestern sites. The program is very detailed and you can use it to organize your trip or just take a few ideas for nice spots. If you are interested in traveling with a Alpine Guide or if you want to climb Yosemite, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mount Everest

Mount Everest expedition North Side Base Camp

April 13 - June 12, 2005

During Spring 2005, I participated at the Everest Vitesse 2005 Expedition. With other Aosta Valley Alpine Guides I have been assisting the skyrunner Bruno Brunod during his attempt to Ascending and Descending Everest record. The chosen route was the normal North side route (Tibet). I could not reach the summit because the attempt failed at Camp 3 at 8,100 m. where I was waiting for Bruno. Our role, as Mountain Guides, was to support Bruno and take care of his security,  and so it was done. A bit of bitterness for the missed summit but a great experience to repeat.
