SEASON

DURATION
2 DAYS
MTB
Panoramic 2-day tour with two fun and long descents on single tracks and overnight at the hotel in the authentic Cogne village.
From Aosta we go up by cablecar to Pila and further with the Chamolé chairlift at an altitude of 2309 m. From here a fun sigle track will take us to the mountain pasture of Plan de Leyvie 2253 m where the climb will begin with a positive portage of 560 m to reach Col Tsa Setze 2815 m. (Avoidable if the Quis 1 chairlift is open and a long beautiful sigle track on the ridge sometimes exposed but with the possibility of getting off the bike. For those who do not suffer from vertigo). Upon reaching the hill after a well-deserved rest, the long and fun descent on sigle tracks will begin, which will bring us to Cogne 1583 m, making us forget the effort made uphill. A hot shower in a comfortable hotel in Cogne will allow us to relax and recover with an excellent dinner and tasty local wine.
On the second day we will go up to the village of Lillaz in the cool of the morning along a pleasant dirt road. From here a series of asphalted sections will allow us to reach the beginning of the dirt road to go up along the Urtier valley to Ivergneux 2524 m where the technical trail begins to reach Ivergneux 2902 m. From here nice descent that we will remember for a long time, never extreme, on a perfect terrain gently brings us to the Vallone del Grauson. The descent becomes more technical in the final part of the valley, with very short sections on foot but always of enormous satisfaction. From the Belvedere restaurant in Gimillian a dirt road leads us to the hamlet of Cretaz and then quickly to Cogne.
The descent will continue on asphalt along the Cogne valley to the town of Aymavilles and from here on single tracks back to Aosta.
